Dig out any cracked or dry caulking that isn t properly sealing adjoining surfaces and replace with silicone caulk.

Check the sides of the shed for dark patches or streaks as this may indicate dripping or running water. One of the most common reasons a shed roof leaks is the same as your home s roof leaking. If your ceiling has a plastic vapor barrier between the drywall and the attic insulation push the insulation aside and look for flow stains on the plastic. In other words skylights stack lines chimneys and valleys are the most common places to see a leak if the tiles themselves are in good shape. Often water runs to openings in the vapor barrier such as at ceiling light fixtures.

I decided to get it re felted and chose a heavy grade that would see me out.
